Psalm 86:4-5, 11-13, 15
 Gladden the soul of your servant,
for to you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
 For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.
 Teach me your way, O LORD,
that I may walk in your truth;
unite my heart to fear your name.
 I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart,
and I will glorify your name forever.
 For great is your steadfast love toward me;
you have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.
 But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.
We thank you for being a God who brings joy to the hearts and souls of your people. May we always commit our lives to you and experience the daily and everlasting gladness that only you can give. Would you do this by teaching us who you are and how to follow you that we can walk according to what your word says, and can stand in awe of who you are.
You are such a great and wondrous God who gives so many good things to your people. Let us always give thanks to you with our whole heart for you are gracious and forgiving, and you preserve our lives both physically and emotionally. Also, we know that you will be with us and protect us until the day you call each on of us to be with you forever.
Thank you for being our God. Thank you for being full of mercy and grace. Thank you for being slow to anger and patient with us. We know all of these things are ours because of the amazing gift of your son Jesus Christ, and because your continual and forever love is upon us.
May we always call upon you and remember that you will never leave us nor forsake us. And that we, as your people, are yours forever and ever. Amen.
